About Governors Club After one round, you will understand why those who can play golf anywhere in the world return to Chapel Hill and our 27-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. The course, a U.S. Open Regional Qualifying Site and host to the N.C. Amateur (2016) and Carolinas Amateur (2019) is situated along wooded valleys with lush foliage, following the natural contours of Edwards Mountain.
